The wheelhouse market has traditionally been divided into two different segments:

A comfort segment for day trips, weekends and transport. A rougher segment for active outdoor activities, fishing and transport. The wheelhouse boats have previously worked well in one of these segments, but not in both at the same time. The P92 SUV delivers equally well in both segments – giving the user the ability to even configure the boat according to the desired application within minutes.

The P92 SUV has retained the same cabin and wheelhouse solution as its little sister the P79 Weekend and can be equipped for full living comfort, including a soft-top for maximum use on sunny summer days – just like the P79.

The aft deck is gigantic for the class, and here there is as much outdoor space, social seating, table space and sun loungers as there is on our largest day cruiser, the C83 Cruiser. The insulated 150-litre cooler provides both crew and passengers with cold refreshments on the aft deck.

The interior of the aft deck is modular and you can choose how many modules you want. They can be removed at any time and can be removed with the twist of a hand to transform the boat into a fishing and transport boat.

The aft deck is closed to the platform area with a watertight door which allows the boat to be backed up against the weather – without getting the rear of the stern leg into the aft deck. It is easy to move from the starboard to the port side of the platform area. A 150-litre ice or fishing tank is standard and can be supplied as an optional circulation pump.

The deck area of the closed aft deck is unmatched in this segment. The normally large aft deck for wheelhouse boats of this size is approx. 4m squared. The closed rear deck of the P92 SUV is 5.3m squared.

Behind the closed aft deck is a large platform area with a good passage from starboard to port side. Everything is prepared for the installation of flushing pumps, circulation pumps and line pullers so that this boat can become a pure working and fishing machine. Using the modular system, you can easily configure your fishing machine in a few minutes into a comfortable touring boat with a social aft deck for the whole family.

The extended hard top is a solution for Norwegian weather and our recommended solution for leisure use. It makes it possible to close the entire aft deck with a practical and simple sunroof. The solution is available in several different variants and combinations and can of course be retrofitted to all boats that have already been delivered.

If the boat is to be used for commercial use or active recreational fishing, we recommend a standard roof. This makes handling fishing rods and other equipment a little easier.

Hull, comfort and fuel economy. Building on the successful concept of the P79 Weekend, we give the Askeladden P92 SUV a completely new optimized hull with a 2-stage, integrated engine mount and deep V-bottom. Longer lengths and higher weights make this hull even more comfortable, while removing most of the planning limit, reduces the need for engine power, increases top speed and improves fuel economy.

One or two outboards. Due to the lack of sophisticated and old-fashioned hull design, there has long been a market perception that outboards over 9 meters must have twin installations to function optimally. This is not the case with the Askeladden P92 SUV. Thanks to the modern hull technology with a 2-stage and integrated motor mount, this boat works optimally with both single and twin outboards.

With Suzuki's Duo Prop DF350 ATXX this boat passes 40 knots by a good margin.
