Cinderella's story
Askeladden is the oldest and largest manufacturer of leisure boats in Norway. The company was founded in 1911 and has since manufactured boats of high quality for both leisure and professional use. The boats have since the beginning been manufactured in Bergen and since 1957 by Henrik J. Askviks Sønner A/S in Os, which is just outside Bergen.

Hull warranty
Askeladden's recreational boats are delivered with a 5-year warranty on the hull. For the warranty to apply, the boat must be purchased from an approved Askeladden dealer. The warranty does not apply to commercial use. The warranty accompanies the boat upon sale. (See the boat's warranty card for other conditions).
Float guarantee
Askeladden's boats under 6 meters are filled with floating foam. It gives the boat extra buoyancy and prevents it from sinking. Even if it is filled with water, with the maximum number of people on board, full cargo, full gas tank and engine. The foam is stiffening and sound dampening as well as resistant to oil and gasoline.
Self-loading
Self-loading requires less supervision and increases user satisfaction. All boats from Askeladden are self-launching, both when the boat is stationary and underway. The boat is equipped with a manual shut-off valve that is used for extra-large loads. The self-priming system works without a pump and non-return valve. A self-launching boat from Askeladden has full internal freeboard height.
World-class engines
With Askeladden's quality requirements, the boats can handle larger engines. The outboard motors are supplied by Suzuki Marine, which offers the most complete range of environmentally friendly and efficient 4-stroke outboard motors. With Suzuki , boaters get the best combination of performance, durability, ease of use and longevity regardless of class.
Recycling of leisure boats
Askeladden sets the environmental standard of the future in the boating industry.
Even boats and life on the lake pollute. For that reason, Askeladden works to develop a stronger environmental profile, with clear objectives for production, waste management and recycling for our leisure boats.
The use of tropical woods is being phased out in production and boat furnishings. In addition, Askeladden has introduced recyclable transport cradles with a return deposit on all boats over 5 metres. In this way, Askeladden wants to lead by example and contribute to setting the environmental standard of the future in the boating industry.
Anti-theft label
Askeladden's recreational boats have been marked with the Securmark anti-theft marking as standard from the 2008 models. Securmark is an international system for anti-theft marking that is well established in Europe, North and South America and Australia. During manufacturing, micromarks are injected into hidden places in the boat. Each mark contains a unique code, which in Securmark's central database provides information about the boat, engine and owner.
Securmark makes it easy to check ownership in case of a change of ownership/sale. The system prevents theft by having a good preventive effect and ensures that the boat is returned to the rightful owner more quickly. With Securmark anti-theft marking, your boat has a clearly visible warning marking that keeps thieves away.

Lerkils Boatyard founded in 1958
Lerkils Båtvarv sells Askeladden in Kungsbacka but also has many customers from Gothenburg, Varberg and other places in western Sweden.
We have a large range of boat models from well-known boat manufacturers, Cinderella, Bella, Falcon, Pinball, Quicksilver, and HR Boat.
We are located south of Gothenburg, north of Varberg and west of Kungsbacka right by the water in Lerkil's harbour. If you are interested in Askeladden Gothenburg, we are only 35 minutes away. We also have an authorized engine workshop for marine engines and carry out reconditioning and repairs of plastic boats.
