Suzuki is launching two brand new models for the 2021 season: the Suzuki DF 140BG and DF115BG, both 4-stroke outboards. These are the first outboards in their class with electronic throttle and gear control, so-called "fly by wire", which, among other things, results in more precise throttle and gear control and increases the driving experience. Suzuki calls it SPC, Suzuki Precision Control.
\nSPC results in smooth and precise shifting and control of the throttle, which also leads to increased performance and lower fuel consumption. Suzuki has long experience with electronic steering as the company launched it many years ago on the largest models.<\/p>\n

However, SPC is not the only innovation in these engines. The manufacturer has also updated the engine itself. Suzuki has raised the compression ratio to 10.6:1 in this 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which gives a higher top speed and better acceleration. In addition, fuel consumption has been reduced by approx. 5\u20137% in the cruising speed range compared to the current DF115A and DF140A.<\/p>\n

The new Suzuki DF 140BG and DF115BG have also received a brand new generator of a full 40A and with increased charging capacity at idle and low rpm, which is very good for today's current-guzzling fishing boats that spend a long time trolling.<\/p>\n

Although much is new under the hood, there are also novelties that are visible to the eye. The engine cover has a completely new, modern design that fits well with many different boat types. Suzuki DF 140BG and DF115BG are available with either L rig (20\") or XL rig (25\").<\/p>\n

115 hp and 140 hp is a power class that fits a lot of boats in Sweden. Both engines will be available both in black color and also in a brand new white color, Super Cool White. The hood has also received an all-new air intake\/intake system that includes an improved water separator and an all-new resonance chamber that lowers the intake noise to new low levels across the entire rev range.<\/p>\n

To facilitate service, only the engine cover needs to be removed. The engine has also been given a spill collar at the oil filter, which means that oil does not spill onto the ground or into the water. The engine also has a sensor that warns of possible water in the fuel.<\/p>\n

The Suzuki DF 140BG is the model for those who want high performance combined with low weight.
\nThe 140BG has a new advanced fuel delivery, so-called Lean Burn Fuel System, which gives you impressive fuel economy without sacrificing performance!
\nFor best performance, the model has double overhead camshafts (DOHC), four valves per cylinder, a tuned and water-cooled intake pipe and a 4-2-1 exhaust system.
\nThe exhaust system, which is well proven in a racing context, provides better performance and higher torque.
\nLarger propellers
\nFor increased power, we have electronic fuel injection and a substantial air intake.
\nThe final gear ratio of a whopping 2.38:1 allows the model to drive a larger propeller that gives you a perfect combination of acceleration and speed.
\nThis allows you to move quickly, pull on the midrange and get up to a solid top speed.
\nBalanced
\nThe design with forward crankshaft and two-stage camshaft drive make the DF140 a compact and optimally balanced engine on the transom.<\/p>\n
